I start with a few words on Oxford Cannabinoid (OCTP).I have not said fill your boots nor should you. The issue here is management allegedly lining their own pockets ahead of corporate action which they know all about. One should not buy shares in such companies. Then I reflect on an excellent piece by Maynard Paton on Cake Box (CBOX) which you can read HERE. I comment on some of the excellent points he makes but add in half a dozen of my own, notably comparing boasted net cash and net interest costs but also the shameful CEO pump and dump and the macro headwind given the demographic of its end user base. This is probably not another Patisserie Valerie but at 320p it is a stonking short.

I start with Christmas presents. Today I started to panic and will really pull my finger out tomorrow. Then onto news that the administrators of Patisserie Holdings (CAKE) chaired by my pal lucky Luke Johnson is to sue aufitors Grant Thornton over the fraudulent accounts it sign off on. This might see Lucky getting a windfall. Or rather a bit of his cash back. I discuss the whole affair

The Boxing Day high street sales data was poor but what does this one set of data mean? There are bigger macro trends which should fill retailers with fear, I discuss Patisserie Valerie (CAKE), Debenhams (DEB), Mothercare (MTC) and Fishing Republic (FISH) , three of four of which will go bust.

Luke Johnson was bang on the money at the weekend in his description of the current market madness. In that vein I discuss Milestone (MSG), On Line (ONL), Vela (VELA) and Tizania (TLS). This will end in tears. I take my hat off to Luke Johnson after today's results from Patisserie Valerie (CAKE) but still have two major concerns, a three if you include valuation. I look at Andalas (ADL) and its new death spiral funding and also cover Kefi (KEFI) and Falanx (FLX)
